An exciting and versatile performer, pianist and singer Andrew Moore is a popular entertainer at theaters, resorts, wineries, and other venues in the Napa and Sonoma areas. At home in venues large and small, he frequently performs pre-show music in the lobby of Napa Valley Opera House. And along with performing, he is a popular singing teacher and musical theater instructor with Napa Valley Music Associates.

Andrew specializes in performing showtunes and hits from the Great American Songbook: well-known tunes (“standards”) from composers like Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Jerome Kern, along with popular songs from musicals. He has been compared to other pianist-singer cabaret artists like Michael Feinstein, and he finds that this music appeals to a wide audience of all ages. Andrew also plays popular classical music: favorite pieces from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras along with popular romantic opera tunes and international love songs.

 

Born and reared in Honolulu, Hawaii, Andrew completed his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Washington State University and Master of Music at Hartt School of Music/University of Hartford. As a pianist-singer, he has headlined in productions in San Francisco and his solo shows in Napa have played to packed houses and critical acclaim. As a singer-actor, he has performed with local and regional companies including Opera San Jose, Oakland Lyric Opera, San Francisco’s Pocket Opera, Bear Valley Music Festival, Napa Valley Opera House, The White Barn, Napa Valley Repertory Theater, and The Bracebridge Dinners at Yosemite National Park, and he has toured nationally with Savoy Express, a Gilbert & Sullivan troupe.
